 Discussing the graduation projects of students of the Department of Journalism, Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University, in the presence of senior experts.

 
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of 6th of October University, Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Iman Al-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision and presence of Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts. 
The Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at 6th of October University discussed today, Monday, May 4, 2026, the graduation projects of the fourth year of the Journalism Department for the academic year 2025/2026, in the presence of a group of prominent media professionals in the field of journalism and media. The discussion committee consisted of journalist Mr. Islam Afifi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, journalist Mohamed El-Baz, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Dustour, and journalist Fatima Shaarawy, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram newspaper They were received and welcomed by Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, in his office.
 
 Six projects for various newspaper magazines were discussed in different areas of student ideas and implementation.
"Kan and Her Sisters" project.. A journalistic journey that monitors the transformations of life between the "pre-Wi-Fi" era and the "trend" era.
Kan and its Sisters magazine reviews the radical changes that have occurred in society with the emergence of social media. The issue includes a special interview with Mahmoud Sabry, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Sports, about how the "trend" has destroyed the credibility of sports media and increased fanaticism. The magazine also sheds light on the success story of the Egyptian scientist Dr. Hatem Zaghloul (inventor of Wi-Fi), and discusses the impact of "comics" and electronic quarrels on public behavior, trying to answer the question: How were our lives before screens and where have they reached now. This project comes under the supervision of academic Dr. Ahmed Abdel Majeed and Dr. Rashid Salah El-Din, teachers in the Journalism Department, and Mr. Asmaa Shalabi and Mr. Ahmed Gamal, assistant teachers in the Journalism Department, and external supervision by Mr. Omar Hassanein, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Masry Al-Youm.
 
"Rawaq" project.. A magazine that documents the history of "Sky Guitars" and launches "Correct Your Concepts" initiatives to build awareness.
Rawaq magazine restores the cultural cycle through a special file on the "Egyptian Recitation State" that highlights the biographies of giant reciters such as Sheikh Abdel Basset Abdel Samad. The magazine also reviews the efforts of
