Today, the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at 6th of October University held an online lecture in which Swiss Professor Colin Porlezza, President of the Institute of Media and Journalism at Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) lectured in the Swiss city of Lugano, in the presence and participation of Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, and members of the faculty and auxiliary staff.
The lecture addressed issues related to the ethics of using artificial intelligence in journalistic and media work and the prospects for employing it in developing media institutions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to professional and ethical standards in light of the rapid developments in artificial intelligence technologies.
The lecture witnessed scientific discussions and questions by faculty members and supporting staff that addressed the future of journalism in the era of artificial intelligence, and the role of universities in preparing media cadres capable of dealing with technological developments.
