The Department of Political Science, headed by Prof. Dr. Wafa Lotfi, organized a symposium entitled
"The Challenges of Egyptian National Security" was presented by His Excellency Major General Dr. Samir Farag, Strategic Expert and Governor of Luxor (former), former Director of the Morale Affairs Department of the Armed Forces, and a prominent figure in supporting national awareness.
The seminar addressed the most prominent challenges facing Egyptian national security in light of regional and international changes, and the role of national institutions in protecting the state and maintaining its stability, and explained that the various strategic directions of the Egyptian state are witnessing a state of tension, which increases the size of challenges and pressures on the Egyptian state and its leadership, adding that the Egyptian political leadership is wise and fully aware of such plans, and appreciated the position of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, whether in rejecting and displacing the Palestinian people or presenting Assistance to the Palestinian people, which reflects the steadfastness of the Egyptian policy on its well-established national principles in maintaining its national security.
The symposium witnessed a distinguished interaction from the honourable attendees, especially our students, who actively contributed to enriching the discussion through their conscious questions and interest in the issues of their country, which reflects the spirit of responsibility and national belonging among our youth.
