For this purpose, the department provides a faculty member / teaching assistant as an academic advisor for each student during his course of study, where the students of the department are divided into small groups and each group of students has an academic advisor, and students benefit in particular from the counseling system in the following areas:

· Helping the student to choose the best study majors suitable for his preparations, abilities and interests and designing his study plan.
· Determining the appropriate courses for the student each semester to suit his level of achievement, the requirements of these courses and his abilities, and assisting him in preparing his schedules every semester until graduation.
· Reveal the student's abilities, tendencies, preparations, and academic level through his results and the level of academic or academic achievement.
· Follow up the student's registration and analyze his performance during the semester.
· Solve all obstacles or academic problems that the student may encounter. And propose the most appropriate solutions to prevent his failure in the study or drop out of it, while directing him the right guidance where he can excel and innovate.
· Provide the student with the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of faculty members to help them solve their problems in appropriate ways for each case.
· Helping the student to discover himself and make his own decisions, especially how to overcome the difficulties facing his study program.
·Providing an atmosphere of affection and familiarity between the mentor and his students within the framework of university traditions in a way that enables the mentor to contain any academic or social problems they may encounter and help them search for solutions and take the appropriate decision.
