 Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sabah El-Sharkawy, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thuria Ramadan, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Nursing at 6th of October University, along with other faculties at the university and volunteers from the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse, participated in a comprehensive development convoy heading to the village of Barqash, Imbaba, in cooperation with the Life Makers Association. The convoy took place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The Faculty of Nursing measured vital signs such as blood pressure and random blood sugar for 120 cases. Five cases of hyperglycemia were detected and referred to the internal medicine clinic. Health awareness was provided to 120 patients about chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. The faculties provided health services and awareness to the villagers, each according to their specialization. Participating in the convoy were Dr. Amira Sobhi, Lecturer in the Pediatrics Department, M.E. Mahmoud Abdel-Ati, Assistant Lecturer in the Community Health Nursing Department, and a number of students.
