Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Yasser El-Dakroury, Vice President for Graduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Sabah El-Sharkawy, Dean of the Faculty, the Department of Mental Health Nursing organized its third annual scientific conference entitled "Physical, Psychological, and Social Effects on Victims of Domestic Violence" on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The conference chair was Prof. Dr. Thuraya Ramadan, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the conference rapporteur was Prof. Dr. Sayeda Mohamed, Head of the Department. Speakers at the conference included Prof. Dr. Amani Abdel-Fattah, Consultant of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University; Dr. Amal Nemer, Member of the National Council for Women; Prof. Dr. Amjad Gabr, Professor of Psychiatry at Al-Azhar University; Prof. Dr. Iman El-Tahawy, Head of the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, 6th of October University; Dr. Israa Samir, Consultant in Education and Social Empowerment at the Life Makers Foundation; and Ms. Samira Saeed, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mental Health Nursing at Ain Shams University.
