 Under the patronage and supervision of Professor Dr. Sabah El-Sharkawy, Dean of the Faculty, and as part of the activation of awareness activities within the Community Service sector, the Faculty of Nursing at 6th of October University organized a comprehensive educational seminar entitled: "Protecting the Environment is Everyone's Responsibility," in line with the slogan "Our Environment is Our Life... Preserve It."

 
The event was held under the guidance of Professor Dr. Thuraya Ramadan, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and was the result of constructive cooperation between the Occupational Safety and Health Committee and the Faculty's Crisis and Disaster Committee. It took place on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
 
The seminar, which began at 1:30 PM at the Faculty premises, witnessed a distinguished attendance of faculty members and students. The seminar addressed the following topics:
 
Enhancing Environmental Awareness: Emphasizing the role of the individual and society in preserving natural resources.
 
Sustainable Development: How to practice environmentally friendly behaviors both on and off campus.
 
Environmental Safety: Linking environmental preservation with occupational safety and health standards to reduce risks.
 
Environment Week:
 
This seminar coincides with "Environment Week" events, reflecting the college's vision that education and nursing are inseparable from social and environmental responsibility, as environmental protection is a fundamental pillar for improving quality of life and public health.
