A seminar entitled "Together We Are Stronger: Support and Assistance Are Not a Luxury"

 Under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Dr. Sabah El-Sharkawy, and Dr. Amani Sami, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Nursing, in cooperation with the College's Cultural Committee, organized a seminar entitled "Stronger Together: Support and Assistance Are Not a Luxury." The seminar was held in Hall B801 at the College of Nursing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Thuraya Ramadan, Professor of Psychiatric Nursing and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.


The discussion was engaging and interesting, covering several topics, including clarifying that psychological and social support is a fundamental need for human health, not a luxury.

The impact of isolation on mental health was also discussed, along with strategies for coping with stress, communication skills, and providing support to the medical team.

Professor Dr. Thuraya emphasized the importance of avoiding social media when feeling angry and building a support network to turn to for help in overcoming difficult situations. The seminar saw active participation from the presenter, students, faculty members, and teaching assistants.
