- Some important intended learning outcomes (ILOs) of the clinical biochemistry course were adopted in the scientific forum titled: " Awareness of the most prevalent diseases in Egypt "
- The scientific forum was organized by the Department of Biochemistry and delivered over one day (Monday, 25 November, 2019) from 9 am to 3 pm.
- The proceedings of the scientific forum focused on the most prevalent diseases in Egypt such as hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer, breast cancer, jaundice, gout, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, growth hormone disorders, atheroscelerosis, myocardial infarction, renal failure and hyperlipidemia.
- The students' topics on different diseases focused on the following points:
o Prevalence of these diseases in Egypt
o Signs and symptoms associated with these diseases
o Different ways to diagnose these diseases
o Factors that increase the incidence of these diseases
o Treatment and ways to prevent these diseases
- Evaluations were performed for students in all groups by professors from all different departments at Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University.
