The Clinical Pharmacy Unit has organized a training course under the title of "Clinical Pharmacy Practice in Pediatrics, Gyn/Ob, Gastroenterology & Surgery" on Saturdays, 5, 12 March, 2016. The aim of the training course was to promote the intellectual and professional skills of the final-years pharmacy students preparing them for the current pre-requisites for the work market. The unit has recruited a selection of highly professional trainers from among the professors of Faculty of Medicine (Kasr Al-Aini), Cairo University and departmental heads of Faculty of Medicine, October 6 University. The proceedings of the course have focused on the role of clinical pharmacists in designing and following-up of pharmacotherapeutic regimens in the fields of pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, gastroenterology and surgery. The training course sessions involved detailed study of some clinical cases which clinical pharmacists can encounter in/out hospitals. The significance of clinical pharmacists as "drug experts" and "health-care providers" was also discussed. Training certificates were granted to the trainees at the end of the course.
