“Types of nebulizers and inhalers used in respiratory diseases”
The Demo Pharmacy unit in Faculty of Pharmacy October 6 university has organized a workshop under the title of “types of nebulizers used in respiratory diseases “on Monday 24 February, 2020.
The aim of the workshop was to promote the intellectual and professional skills of the final-years pharmacy students and fresh graduates preparing them for the current pre-requisites for the work market in community pharmacies and hospitals in Egypt.
The Faculty of pharmacy has recruited a selection of highly professional trainers from among the Practitioners of clinical pharmacy in the most prestigious hospitals in Egypt such as The National institute for chest diseases.
Some important intended learning outcomes (ILOs) of the Community pharmacy course was adopted in the training workshop of Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy.
The proceedings of the course have focused on using of different types of nebulizers and inhalers.
The training workshop sessions involved a detailed study of some clinical cases which pharmacists can encounter in community pharmacies.
The significance of administration of nebulizers and inhalers and their dose adjustment in respiratory diseases.
Evaluation quizzes were performed to assess some of the intended learning outcomes of the training course. Significant differences were found between the pre-and-post-training results.
The work shop organized by Dr.Ahmed Essam teaching assistant in clinical pharmacy department and coordinator of clinical training.
A handout and CD of the training course material were made available for all trainees.
Questionnaires were distributed to the participants and analyzed to determine the extent of satisfaction with the training course content and trainers.
Training certificates were granted to the trainees at the end of workshop.
