An open air awareness session for October 6 University student under the title
“Personal protection and sanitizers viruses Corona virus, are they for protection or abuse”
On Tuesday, 17 November 2020, the community service and environment development committee under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Koheil, the dean of the faculty of pharmacy organized a lecture under the title:
“Personal protection and sanitizers viruses Corona virus, are they for protection or abuse”
The lecture was given in the open air area in front of the university mall and this was due to the responsibility of the university to increase the awareness level of the students in confronting the Corona pandemic.
The lecture focused on:
1. Types of personal protections (how to be worn, taken off, and how to choose them).
2. Types of sanitizers (when and how to be used on skin and surfaces).
3. Avoiding over - use of sanitizers and overcoming problems of bacterial resistance and side effects.
The lecture was in an open aired area, with student's participation from all faculties and the presence of their professors. Social distancing and precautions for infection transmission were all taken under consideration to avoid Corona virus infection.
The lecture was given by Dr. Saadya El-Nahhas, the lecturer of microbiology and immunology and the health care insurance manager for combating infection.
