October 6 University honors its outstanding students
6th of October University, with the efforts of the Faculties of Economics, management and Applied Arts, organized an initiative to honor the university's outstanding students and the productive student initiative in its first session, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal Sami, President of October 6 University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Ministry of Social Solidarity for Policies and Social Development, representing the Ministry of Social Solidarity, headed by Prof. Dr. Nevine Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, on Wednesday, 3/4/2024
Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz opened the symposium welcoming the attendees from the deans and vice-deans of faculties, faculty members, their assistants and students, and the guest of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, to whom the idea of the initiative and the establishment of a social solidarity unit affiliated with the ministry is due to, who confirmed that October 6 University is the only private university that cooperates with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and occupies 31st place at the level of all Egyptian universities, and the activities of the unit vary between the initiative to care for the academically superior to include the first five of the fourteen faculties At the university, those moving from the first year to the second year to be supported by a continuous monthly amount until graduation, as well as activating the productive student initiative, which aims to enhance the spirit of belonging to the student, an affiliation that begins with his university and extends to his homeland, and this initiative allows students a set of workshops, training courses and lectures to enable him to be able to produce small projects to be supported and financed financially and technically by the ministry, in order to facilitate access to job opportunities after graduation
