Activities of the "Open Meeting on the Role of Professional Unions in Society" Symposium
The Faculty of Engineering, 6th of October University, hosted "Engineer Tarek El-Nabrawy", the Syndicate of Engineers, and the symposium began with an opening speech given by the guest, where the speech addressed the role of professional unions and their importance in serving society.
The symposium discussed several main axes, most notably:
The role of unions in developing professions: through continuous training and raising professional efficiency.
Union work: its importance in defending the rights of professionals and improving their conditions.
Challenges facing unions: and ways to deal with them to enhance their impact.
The session witnessed fruitful discussions between the guest and the attendees, where ideas and viewpoints were exchanged. The symposium concluded with honoring Eng. Tarek El-Nabrawy, the guest of the symposium, where the Dean presented a shield in appreciation of his distinguished presence. This was attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Kamal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hinar Abu Al-Majd, Deputy for Environmental Affairs, some faculty members, assistants, and students from various departments.
