Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of of October 6 University, and Prof. Dr. Eman Al-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology organized, December 9, 2024, the annual scientific day for the Biomedical Equipment Technology Program under the title
Next-Gen Health Care: AI and Medical Equipment Integration
The forum discussed the role of artificial intelligence in developing the performance of medical devices and improving the quality of health care. It also discussed the challenges facing the health team as a result of the expansion of the use of artificial intelligence technologies.
The forum hosted: Prof. Dr. Hani Kasban, Head of the Department of Engineering and Scientific Devices - Nuclear Research Center - Atomic Energy Authority.
And Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Bahri, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science at of October 6 University.
The scientific forum was also attended by Dr. Mona Al-Naklawi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Device Technology, and Dr. Muhammad Bunduq, Lecturer in Medical Engineering at the College.
A group of students presented a distinguished presentation reviewing the areas of application of artificial intelligence in medical device technology.
The student presentation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hala Mustafa, Head of the Medical Devices Technology Department, and Dr. Ibtisam Aboud, a lecturer in the department.
The student presentation was admired by the audience, who praised the students' outstanding academic level and skills.
Prof. Dr. Hala Mustafa concluded the scientific forum by thanking all members of the department for their outstanding performance and stressed her keenness to encourage students to develop their research skills.
