Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Gamal Samy, President of October 6 University, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Dakrouri, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and Prof. Dr. Magdy Rady, the university’s advisor for external relations, organized a scientific lecture at the university entitled: The Implications of the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolution on the Quality of University Education, within the framework of the office’s keenness to spread the culture of innovation and creativity among researchers, students, and faculty members at the university and outside it, and within the framework of the office’s awareness activities on the day Wednesday, March 6, 2024 AD, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Office, Professor Lina Jamil, and members of the Office, Dr. Sherif Youssef - Dr. Maha Shawky, Dr. Ahmed Qamar Al-Dawla, and in the distinguished presence of Professor Dr. Mona Abu Tabl, Dean of the College of Applied Arts Prof. Dr. Hanaa Al-Qazzaz, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Iman Muhammad Zahra, Vice Dean of the College of Media and Communication Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Hala Muhammad Ahmed Omar - Women’s Secretary of the Union Party, with the participation of a large number of members of the committee. Teaching, supporting staff, and students at the university. The lecture was presented by Dr. Abeer Ali Al-Desouki Salem - Office Member. The lecture discussed the concept of the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolution, the difference between them, the most important areas of their application, and their implications for the development of universities, the quality of university education, and their role in supporting the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. The most important recommendations were made. The lecture focused on the need to focus on developing digital and life skills, soft skills, and lifelong learning skills among university students and include them in academic curricula to prepare them for the new labor market, and the need to include digital skills and artificial intelligence in all stages of academic programs.
