Students of Faculty of pharmacy October 6 University Participate with Applied Research in NAPRECA Webinar

 - Fourth year students -under the supervision of Dr. Samir Osman, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service- participated in Natural Product Research Network For East and Central Africa webinar “NAPRECA” through "zoom" program from the central computer labs of the 6th of October University within the activities of the scientific project of chromatography curriculum in Monday 7/12/2020.

-The conference adopted the idea of the importance of medicinal plants in facing crises.

- Several students of the fourth year attended the conference and interacted with the lectures .The Conference included both international and national university students.

A fourth year student from October 6 university, faculty of Pharmacy, Salam Gamal ,give a presentation under the title of “Green Antiseptics and Disinfectants”, “Eco-Friendly, Alcohol Free Sanitizers”.

- This idea won a lot of admiration from the participants and company managers, with a request to follow up everything new about the implementation of this idea with development.

This idea is part of the practical project of Chromatography curriculum for the year 2020.

- In continuation of the practical project process of Chromatography Curriculum over the previous years, Maha Bahy, a student in the fifth year, participated with a presentation with the title:

“In Silico, In Vitro and In Vivo Investigation of Biological Activities of Dimethyl Anthranilate (DMA) Isolated from Petit Grain Mandarin Agro- Waste”.

- All participants praised her performance, and this is not the first time that Maha participates in an international conference.

 Last year, Maha won ninth place internationally in the DUPHAT conference held in the United Arab Emirates under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Samir Osman.

     - This experience was a link to the importance of implementing the scientific project and linking it to the minds of students, It was a fruitful, new, and enjoyable experience, and the students expressed their admiration to have participated in it.
