Pharmacy practice and work flow in Canadian community pharmacy setting

On 4th of Dec. 2014, a lecture was delivered by Dr. Samar Hamdy, a lecturer in Alberta Univ., Canada and was attended by students and staff members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University. The lecture which was delivered under the title "Pharmacy practice and work flow in Canadian community pharmacy setting" touched on the practice of community pharmacy in the Canadian society. The lecture showed how each patient has health file showing his disease history, latest analysis data, presentation, etc ….which is saved in a central data base that can be accessed all over Canada and could be initiated by a special health number. Lecturer said that a prescription is written by its generic name and that the clinical pharmacist can prescribe in certain cases or reviews the contents with the physician. Dr. Samar also explained how to make use of training opportunities in Canada.
