On Thursday 21st April 2016 Faculty of Medicine , October 6 University organized a medical convoy to a primary health care unit (at Mansourya),Giza . The convoy that comprised almost all medical specialties including, Internal medicine, cardiology, General Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetric, Ophthalmology , Ear- nose and throat (E.N.T), and pediatrics as well as 50 Medical student ,aimed at offering the most convenient medical service to remote deprived poor areas In the same context , The Faculty of Pharmacy shared by supplementing the commonly needed drugs, The convoy provided diagnosis, treatment and health education for 192 cases internal medicine 40 cases, General Surgery 22 cases, Gynecology & Obstetric 20 cases Cardiology 10 cases, E.N.T, 30 cases pediatrics 70 cases pediatrics and 12 cases were referred to 6 October University hospital for further investigation and treatment. Awareness lectures were presented to the attendance on parasitic diseases, nutrition in cardiac disorders, addiction and side effects of drugs. Questionnaire to assess the patient’s satisfaction and the community needs were distributed by the end of the day.
