Evaluation system and student assessment exams:
Evaluation of students' level of performance is achieved by observation of rating scales during the academic year and by applying variable types of tests as follows:
· Assessment of knowledge and understanding is achieved by:
· Questions recalling knowledge in the form of:
· Long and short written questions.
· Multiple choice questions.
· Interpretation of specific data: by modified indirect essay questions.
· Problem solving questions: through setting short, questions preceded by case history.
II. Assessment of acquired practical skills through setting:
- Practical exams.
- Clinical cases exams.
III. Assessment of attitude and intellectual processes:
Through traditional oral exams.
IV. Assessment of professional skills:
Through execution of a project in some subjects using electronic facilities.
Evaluation schedules:
· Continuous assessment formative and summative exams are held regularly throughout the semester in each department.
· Mid-Term written summative exams for each course are held during the middle of the semester.
· Certifying end-Term final evaluation written, oral and practical exams are held by the end of each semester.
Attendance criteria:
To sit for final examinations, the student should attend at least 75% of lectures& practical classes.
Mark Distribution:
- The subjects grades are allocated as follows:
· Year's work, activity and mid-term exams 30% of total allocated marks.
· End-term written exam 40% of total allocated marks.
· End term oral & practical exams 30% of total allocated marks.

* In case the student gets less than 60% of the examination marks, he is considered failed, and has to set for re-examination at the next subject's examination semester.
The student is transferred from one level to the other through every stage if he passes at least 50% of the main subjects successfully.
English , Computer and Social sciences are subsidiary subjects with grades included in the cumulative GPA and should be passed.
Students with grade D in certain subject are allowed to repeat the exam to improve their GPA with a maximum of 22 credit hours.
Elective courses are required for improving the student information, skills and knowledge.
The student should attend and pass all courses successfully (Mandatory, subsidiary and elective) with minimum cumulative (GPA 2) to get the M.B.B.Ch degree.
Academic dishonesty:
· Exchange of information between students during an examination.
· Use of unauthorized materials during an examination.
· Copying works of others.
· Using mobile phones
These will expose the students to judgment and subjection to punishment measures.
