October 6 University hosted His Eminence Dr. Osama Qabil in an outstanding educational seminar entitled 'Ramadan and Psychological Peace,' on Monday, 23/2, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Gharab, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohsen Abi Al-Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, in the presence of a notable attendance of faculty members and students, in an atmosphere characterized by positive interaction and constructive dialogue. During his speech, His Eminence Dr. Osama Qabil addressed the spiritual and psychological dimensions of the blessed month of Ramadan, explaining how fasting contributes to the refinement of the soul, the enhancement of patience, and the reinforcement of the values of forgiveness and contentment, which positively reflect on the individual's mental health and inner stability. He also pointed out the importance of utilizing the holy month to reorganize priorities, strengthen the relationship with God, and build human relationships based on affection and mercy.
The seminar witnessed an open discussion with the attendees about ways to achieve a balance between the demands of daily life and acts of worship during the holy month, and how a university student can maintain his academic productivity while enhancing his mental clarity and psychological well-being.
This seminar comes as part of 6th of October University's keenness to support cultural and religious activities that contribute to building a well-rounded student personality, combining academic excellence with spiritual awareness, and promoting values of belonging and social responsibility during the blessed month of Ramadan.
