Summer training workshops for some schools in 6 October City from 15/7-15/8/2025

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mona Abu Tabl, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, the awareness caravan committee, chaired by Prof. Dr. Samir Othman, in collaboration with the Community Service Agency at the Faculty of Applied Arts,as the faculty is keen to serve the external community. The faculty welcomed 8 students from preparatory and secondary stages during the period from 15/7-15/8/2025 and trained them on the fundamentals of design while explaining how to create small and micro projects to qualify them for entrepreneurship. The training was conducted through the following workshops: a workshop to teach students how to make a design from geometric shapes using a pencil - a workshop to choose the best one to ink it for training on inking skills - a workshop to train on the use of gouache colors - a workshop to train on mixing primary colors and extracting secondary colors with an explanation of the color wheel - a workshop toprepare students for entrepreneurship and small projects. The objective of the workshops was to familiarize students with the facuty departments, to train them in creating designs from simple geometric shapes, and to achieve some of the sustainable development goals related to quality education (4) and partnerships for reaching those goals in alignment with Egypt's Vision 2030. The workshops were conducted by Prof. Dr. Hanaa Al-Qazzaz, the Deputy Dean for Community Service, Associate Prof. Dr. Hala Mohsen, assistant professor in the Department of Interior Design and Furniture, Dr. Asmaa Abdel-Moneim, lecturer in the Advertising Department, and Dr. Shaimaa Saleh, lecturer in the Product Design Department.
