On Thursday, April 24, 2026, the Faculty of Applied Arts organized a community service visit to Dar Manaber Al-Nour for Orphan Girls in Sheikh Zayed and Dar Manaber Al-Nour for Elderly Women
The initiative was coordinated by the Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs
 
Under the patronage of the University leadership, and supervised by the Heads of the Departments of Interior Design and Advertising.This visit reflects the Faculty’s commitment to its societal role and directly supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 pillars of social justice, quality of life, and inclusive development. It also aligns with Presidential Initiatives such as Hayah Karima (Decent Life), Empowering Youth, and Qaderoon Bekhtilaf (Differently Abled but Capable), by addressing the needs of vulnerable groups and fostering student engagement in volunteerism.Furthermore, the activity contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
  • SDG 1: No Poverty
  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
  • SDG 4: Quality Education (through student involvement and awareness)
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality (empowering orphan girls)
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
By integrating academic vision with national priorities and global sustainability frameworks, the visit stands as a model of how universities can bridge education, community service, and sustainable development.
