 The Supreme Council for Media holds its third discussion session on "Ways to Develop Egyptian Media"

The necessity of paying attention to training and media diversity to enhance professional performance and develop content
Within the framework of discussing ways to develop the content provided by the media and enhance its role in educating citizens, the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, held its third discussion session on "Ways to Develop Egyptian Media", in the presence of Engineer Osama El Sheikh, former President of the Radio and Television Union.
The discussion session was attended by Dr. Sami Abdel Aziz, Professor of Media at the Faculty of Media at Cairo University and former Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hassan Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Media at Madinah University, Dr. Hassan Emad Makkawi, Professor of Radio and Television at the Faculty of Media at Cairo University and former Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Shoman, Dean of the Faculty of Media at the British University, Dr. Howayda Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty of Media at Misr University for Science and Technology, Dr. Thuraya Al-Badawi, Dean of the Faculty of Media at Cairo University, and Dr. Dina Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media at 6th of October University.
The attendees called for the need to work on the establishment of a training academy that is concerned with training and qualifying media professionals and journalists before appearing on screens and to enhance professional performance. They pointed out the need to focus on viewership and public opinion research due to its major role in developing media content presented in various media outlets according to the needs of the viewer.
 
The attendees also pointed out the importance of paying attention to digital media, electronic platforms and influencers via social media and working to use them to raise awareness among the masses and confront attempts to falsify community awareness. They also stressed the importance of diversity in media coverage of community issues.
 
The attendees presented a number of working papers on training and ways to develop content to the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in preparation for studying and working on them during the coming period.
 
It is worth noting that this session comes within the framework of a series of sessions organized by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation to discuss ways of development and the future of the media, whether in terms of content and media industry, in the presence of academics, media experts and professors, channel heads, program presenters, thinkers, writers and specialists
