 Faculty of Education – October 6 University Holds Graduation Project Discussions for Arabic Language and Islamic Studies Students

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting scientific research and fostering student creativity, the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Education organized a scientific session on Sunday, May 11, 2025, to discuss the graduation projects of its students. The session was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Rokia Hussein Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty, and was attended by several faculty members and academic supervisors.

The presented projects addressed a variety of topics that combined linguistic, literary, and critical studies. The titles of the projects were as follows:

1.     “The Nominal Sentence in the Poetry Collection Ghost of Love by Nigerian Poet Faiz Shuaib – An Applied Grammatical Study”
Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Qader

2.     “The Language of Commercial Advertising on Facebook – A Linguistic Study”
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Zayed

3.     “The Oedipus Myth and the Diversity of Theatrical Interpretations”
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Shafei

4.     “Rhythm in Poetic Drama – A Study of Majnun Layla by Ahmed Shawqi”
Supervisor: Dr. Suleiman Ibrahim Mohamed

5.     “Al-Busiri’s Burda – A Stylistic Study”
Supervisor: Dr. Manal Madkour Yehia

Faculty members praised the high academic level demonstrated in the students' research, noting that the projects reflected strong intellectual and critical awareness, as well as adherence to research methodologies and the diversity of sources used.

In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Rokia Hussein Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty, commended the efforts of both students and supervisors. She reaffirmed the Faculty’s dedication to supporting scientific research and enhancing students' skills in preparation for the job market and postgraduate studies.

It is worth noting that the graduation project discussions represent a significant milestone in the academic journey of university students, as they provide an opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and skills and to present scholarly work that reflects their excellence and uniqueness in their field of study.
