6th of October Media hosts the great journalist Abdel Mohsen Salama.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of 6th of October University, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at the University, the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts held a symposium entitled "Managing Media Institutions in Light of Digital Transformation and the Future of Journalism and Media Amidst Current Challenges" as part of its cultural season activities, in which it hosted the great journalist Abdel Mohsen Salama, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahram Foundation and former Head of the Journalists Syndicate. His Excellency received Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab in his office and welcomed his gracious presence, as well as Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, who accompanied him to the symposium, welcoming him and presenting him with the college shield in honor of his gracious presence.
The seminar was presented and moderated by Egyptian TV presenter Ada Gad. The seminar addressed the importance of studying media academically, the importance of media colleges, management skills of press and media institutions, the importance of the role of the Journalists Syndicate, the characteristics and features of a successful unionist and captain, as well as the characteristics and features of article writing. It also addressed the future of journalism in light of the digital transformation. Professor Abdel Mohsen Salama gave his advice to students to enter the media field in light of the current digital transformation. He also stressed that journalism will continue to exist, but in renewed forms and formats. An artistic segment was also presented at the end of the seminar by oud player Mina Gamal, in the presence of Professor Dr. Ruqayya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the university, and the deans of the faculties of medicine and surgery, tourism and hotels, as well as the Faculty of Nursing, and the faculty members, assistants, and students from the Faculty of Media and various other faculties at the university.
