P.T. Scientific departments

1. Department of Basic Science: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of manual therapy.
2. Unit of hydro and electro therapy.
3. Unit of tests and measurements.

The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Hydrotherapy – Electrotherapy – Biology – Biophysics (I-II)  – Ethics and laws – English Language and terminology – Psychology – Hospitals management – Principles of Scientific Research – Tests and measurements (I-II) – Therapeutic exercises (I-II) – Principles of manual therapy – Exercise Physiology – Principles of Computer – Pathology (I-II) – Principles of Sociology – Principles of political Sciences – First Aids – Anatomy (I-II-III) – Physiology (I-II) – Histology (I-II) – Community Health.

2. Department of Biomechanics: It includes the following units:
1. Biomechanics unit.
2. Mechanics work unit.
3. Measurements unit.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Biomechanics (I: IV) – Ergonomics
.

3. Department of Physical Therapy for Internal diseases: It includes the following Units:
1. Physical Therapy Unit for Internal Medicine and geriatrics.
2. Physical Therapy Unit for heart disease, chest disease and intensive care.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:

Theories of internal medicine and geriatrics – Theories of Chest diseases  – Theories of cardiothoracic surgery – Physical therapy for internal medicine and geriatrics –  Physical Therapy for chest diseases –   Physical Therapy for cardiothoracic surgery  – Practical training for internal medicine and geriatrics – Practical training of Chest diseases  – Practical training of cardiothoracic surgery – Principles of nutrition –  Rheumatology.

4. Department of Physical Therapy for Orthopedics: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of orthopedics for physical therapy.
2. Unit of sports injuries for physical therapy.
3. Unit of orthotics and prosthetic.

The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Theories of Orthopedics surgery – Theories of sport injuries – Physical Therapy  for Orthopedics surgery– physical therapy for sports injuries  – Practical training  for Orthopedics surgery – Practical training  for sports injuries  – Orthotics and prosthetics.

5. Department of Physical Therapy for Women's Health: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of women’s health for physical therapy.
2. Unit of pelvic disorders in women for physical therapy.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Theories of Gynecology and Obstetrics – Physical Therapy for Women's Health – Practical training for Gynecology – Principles of  Quality assurance – Principles of  business management – Communication skills .

6. Department of Physical Therapy for the skin and membranes: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of physical therapy for General Surgery and Oncology.
2. Unit of physical therapy for dermatology and burn.
3. Unit of physical therapy for cosmetic surgery and obesity.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Theories of general surgery, burn  and dermatology - Physical therapy for skin and membranes – Physical therapy for general surgery and burn  – Practical training for general surgery and burn – Community Medicine.

7. Department of Physical Therapy for Neurology: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of physical therapy for Neurology.
2. Unit of physical therapy for neurosurgery and spine.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Neuroanatomy– Neurophysiology – Theories of neurology – Theories of Neurosurgery – Physical therapy for neurology – physical therapy for neurosurgery – Practical training for neurology – Practical training for neurosurgery – Theories of psychiatrics – Principles of motor control.

8. Department of Physical Therapy for Pediatrics: It includes the following units:
1. Unit of Physical therapy for neuropediatrics.

2. Unit of Physical therapy for orthopedic, respiratory and heart diseases for pediatrics.
The department supervises the teaching process of the following courses:
Theories of  Pediatrics – Theories of  Pediatric Surgery – Human genetics –  Growth and development  –  physical therapy for pediatrics  –  physical therapy for pediatric surgery  – Practical training for pediatrics  –  Practical training for pediatric surgery –  Principles of  speech therapy – Occupational Therapy.
