On Tuesday, 15th of December 2015, the Faculty of Pharmacy – October 6 University organized an Exhibition for the industrial pharmacy course student’s activities entitled: (Innovative ideas for Fifth Year Students for Drug Manufacturing Devices) , sponsored by : Prof .Dr. Ahmed Attia Seida (October 6 University President ) – Prof .Dr.Mahmoud Kohiel (Faculty Dean) – Prof.Dr.Sohier El-nahhas (Head of Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy) , and under supervision of : ( Dr/Tarek Saad Makram and Dr/Sahar Mostafa Fayez )
The event was held at the presence of Prof .Dr/Nabawya Abd Al-aziz and Prof.Dr/Atef Tadros Fahim(Vice Dean) - faculty members from different departments , and also representatives of the major pharmaceutical companies and organizations attended including : (Serfee – Rameda- October Pharm – Sediko – Elkahera pharmaceuticals – AlMotaheda for pharmacists , and more …) , in addition to representative of general syndicate of pharmacists together with the social development treasury .
The Exhibition showed drug manufacturing devices with innovative solutions for some manufacturing problems. The devices were designed and made by the students with the co-operation of specialized engineers.
The exhibited devices included separating, mixing and purification devices plus some devices specially made for the medical plant extraction, filtration and purification as a scientific cooperation between pharmacognosy and pharmaceutics department. The exhibition was very successful and was grateful to all those who took part in the event .
