🗓️ Establishment and Development
Believing in the importance of quality and its significant impact on the educational process, the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) was established during the 2006/2007 academic year.
The position of the unit director and the organizational structure were updated by Faculty Council Resolution No. (4) dated 11/12/2007. The unit director carries out their duties with the support of the Dean of the Faculty.
In the 2008/2009 academic year, the faculty approved the establishment of a Quality Assurance Unit Board of Directors, which was activated in April 2009 through Faculty Council Resolution No. (8) dated 5/4/2009, to monitor quality activities, ensure their implementation, and present regular monthly reports to the council.
The unit's organizational structure is updated annually to align with the latest developments in educational quality assurance.

🎯 Mission
To promote a culture of quality and assess the performance of all elements of the educational, research, and community service system provided by the faculty in accordance with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (NAQAAE).
The unit adopts a policy of continuous improvement in performance in alignment with the faculty’s mission and objectives, supported by qualified human resources, adequate material resources, and effective systems and mechanisms for performance measurement and evaluation, ensuring a high level of competitiveness for the faculty.
🛠️ Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize and apply tools, mechanisms, and programs developed by the University’s Quality Assurance Center to assess performance and ensure quality in accordance with national accreditation standards.

Implement the university's strategy regarding quality assurance at the faculty level, along with the directives issued by the Quality Assurance Center.

Establish an integrated information system for performance evaluation and internal quality assurance.

Monitor quality assurance and performance evaluation activities within all academic and administrative departments.

Analyze the outcomes of quality and performance assessment activities and provide regular reports to the university’s Quality Assurance Center.

Offer awareness, training, guidance, and consultancy services to academic departments concerning quality and accreditation.

Collaborate with all departments and units to prepare the faculty for accreditation.

Prepare the annual performance evaluation and quality assurance report, approve it by the Dean, and submit it to the Quality Assurance Center.

Build strong and direct relationships with external stakeholders and entities concerned with quality and performance evaluation.

Launch wide-ranging awareness campaigns within the faculty and community to promote the concepts of performance evaluation and continuous development.
