The Response on Biochemistry Department's Scientific Forum about “The Most Prevalent Diseases in Egypt”

 -                Some important intended learning outcomes (ILOs) of the clinical biochemistry course were adopted in the scientific forum titled "Awareness of the most prevalent diseases in Egypt. "

 
-                The scientific forum was organized by the Biochemistry Department and held on two days (Monday, December 20 and 27, 2021) from 9 am to 3 pm.
 
-                The proceedings of the scientific forum focused on the most prevalent diseases in Egypt, such as hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, jaundice, gout, types I and II diabetes mellitus, hypo- and hyperthyroidism, myocardial infarction, acute and chronic renal failure, and hyperlipidemia.
 
-                The students' topics of different diseases focused on the following points:
 
o   Global and local prevalence
o   Signs and symptoms
o   Different ways of diagnosis
o   Pathogenesis and risk factors
o   Treatment and prevention methods
 
-                Student’s evaluations were performed by professors from different departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University.
