Report on the Evaluation of Selected Herbal Products in the Egyptian Market

As part of the Scientific Day celebration of the Pharmacognosy Department, Professor Dr. Dalia Rashid, Professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy, delivered a lecture on the evaluation of selected herbal products available in the Egyptian market.
During the lecture, Dr. Rashid presented several research studies that utilized various advanced analytical methods using state-of-the-art international equipment. The evaluation focused on extracts from several medicinal and aromatic plants, including dill, parsley, anise, thyme, and ivy, among others.
The session highlighted the importance of standardizing herbal products, ensuring their quality and efficacy, and emphasized the role of scientific research in supporting safe use and regulatory oversight of herbal remedies.
