 Report on the Developmental Convoy to Tarfaya Village, Badrashin

As part of the university's commitment to providing medical assistance to the community, October 6 University organized a comprehensive medical convoy to Tarfaya village in Badrashin, Giza governorate, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The convoy was supported by several of the university's faculties with the aim of offering necessary healthcare services to the residents. The Faculty of Pharmacy made a significant contribution by providing free medications and offering medical guidance on the proper use of drugs, improving the overall quality of healthcare provided.
Details of the Convoy
This convoy was part of a series of initiatives led by October 6 University to enhance its role in community service. It included medical teams from various specialties to ensure comprehensive healthcare delivery to the villagers.

Services Provided
The participating medical teams provided free medical consultations for the patients, diagnosing various conditions ranging from chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes to other health issues related to the respiratory, digestive, and musculoskeletal systems. Dental and physical therapy services were also provided in response to the patients' needs.
In collaboration with Life Makers Association, the Faculty of Pharmacy contributed by offering necessary medications and distributing them free of charge based on doctor's prescriptions. The pharmacy team also provided pharmaceutical advice on the safe and effective use of medications, including proper dosages, potential drug interactions, and the importance of adhering to treatment plans.
Number of Beneficiaries and Impact
A total of 170 prescriptions were filled, providing free medication to a large number of patients in need. The convoy was well received by the local residents, many of whom expressed their gratitude for this initiative.
