Community Service Committee Participates in the Giza Pharmacists Syndicate Iftar
As part of efforts to strengthen professional and social ties among pharmacists, the Giza Pharmacists Syndicate organized a collective Iftar at Al-Waha Hotel, graciously hosted by Dr. Nagwa Hashem, Head of the Giza Pharmacists Syndicate, and Dr. Shaimaa Rabie, the Syndicate’s Public Prosecutor.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of pharmacists, academics, and professionals. Representing the Community Service Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy – October 6 University were:
  • Prof. Dr. Samir Othman, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs.
  • Dr. Ahmed Essam, committee member.
  • Associate Prof. Dr. Sahar Fayez, Department of Pharmaceutics.
The Iftar was also attended by prominent pharmacy professors from various Egyptian universities, including:
  • Prof. Dr. Hamdallah Hafez, Professor of Microbiology at the Faculty of Pharmacy – Cairo University and member of the Pharmaceutical Studies Sector Committee.
  • Prof. Dr. Gouda Helal, President of Heliopolis University.
  • Prof. Dr. Ayman Nour El-Din, Vice President of Ahram Canadian University for Postgraduate Studies and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, former Head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, was also present, along with several members of the Syndicate’s board and guests from various pharmaceutical institutions.
The gathering opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Nagwa Hashem, in which she emphasized the importance of such events in fostering communication among pharmacists, discussing ways to develop the profession, and highlighting the Syndicate’s continuous support for its members. She also stressed the importance of the pharmacist’s community role and their contribution to delivering effective healthcare services.
During the Iftar, attendees engaged in fruitful discussions about the challenges pharmacists face, the significance of continuous education through workshops and training programs, and the need for better integration between academic work and professional practice to ensure high-quality patient care.
The efforts of the Syndicate’s Community Service Committee in supporting pharmacists and improving pharmaceutical services were also showcased. Participants agreed on the importance of continuing such gatherings to promote collaboration, exchange experiences, and enhance the professional capabilities of pharmacists.
At the conclusion of the event, attendees expressed their joy in participating and praised the Syndicate's role in organizing events that combine social and professional dimensions, thereby reinforcing collegiality among pharmacists and promoting teamwork in community service.
