Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Gamal Sami, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Faten Hassan Abdelazim, Dean of the College of Physical Therapy, a celebration was held on December 14th for People with Disabilities, in coordination with Dr. Manal Salah El-Din, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at the College of Physical Therapy, and Prof. Dr. Samir Osman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Pharmacy, with the participation of:
- Prof. Dr. Eman Kareem, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities
- Dr. Nadi Thabet, Member of the Family and Child Committee in the Parliament
- Dr. Mostafa Sami, President of the Legal Association
- Dr. Markos Daniel, President of Shams Al-Bahr Association for People with Special Needs
- Dr. Menni Abdel-Aal, President of the Association for the Care of the Rights of the Disabled
- Rasha Ernest, Representative of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities
- Mohamed Aref, Representative of the Ken Eni Charitable Association
- Fatma Youssef, Representative of the Mosharka Al-Khair Association
- Fatma Amin, President of the Sond Charitable Association
Inspiring models of people with disabilities also participated in the event, as well as Commercial Bank Wafa.
In addition, a number of deans, vice deans, faculty members, staff, and students from the university attended the event.
