Report on Lab Diagnosis Training Course – Biotechnology Unit – Faculty of Pharmacy – October 6 Universities

 The course training sessions included 49 students from various academic levels at the Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University which met with great success praised by the trainees throughout the day, which was so evident in their work and enthusiasm during the session. Every student conducted practical experiments of the interest by himself on the acquisition of a student for the entire practical and technical aspects

A period of 30 hours of credit hours were included on the theoretical and practical side. the trainee  after this session became able to conduct and evaluate the different tests and the conclusion of various disease states
Session included the most important medical tests were divided as follows:
The first day, Saturday, 15/10/2016 - from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., had included:

Theoretically,

·        Illustration of Principles of medical tests

·        Ways of Quality control within the labs

·        Illustration of  Urine tests and the method of composition and the body excretion and ways to detect components of proteins salts and organic compounds and inorganic and morbidity associated cost

·        Illustration of blood and its components, blood groups and explain hemoglobin with different types of anemia.

In practice:

·        Urine laboratory tests  in terms of acidity and alkalinity and the presence of basic organic and inorganic compounds and increase during pathological conditions included chemical detection methods and the use of urine strips ways

·        Examination for Microscopic cells of pus, erythrocyte, salts by its various types like oxalat, phosphate and others.

·        Conducting urine and sensitivity farms where each group made identification of appropriate antibiotics for each case

·        Also included complete blood analysis where each student measured the ratio hemoglobin and preparation of white blood cells and red blood sheets and counted under a microscope

The second day, Monday 17/10/2016- from 15:00 to 19:00

Theoretically included :

·        Explanation of Blood types and different methods of disclosure

·        Illustration of Different liver enzymes and proteins

·        Explanation of diabetes and its etiology.

the practical side included:

·        Examination of all blood groups participated by the students eagerly

·        Examination for or liver function included ALT, AST, Albumin, Bilirubin

·        Examination For diabetes in the blood

The third day, Wednesday, 19/10/2016 - from 15:00 to 19:00

Theoretically included:

·        Explanation of various kidney functions and components associated with the disease and the pathophysiology of renal failure

·        Explanation of causes of diseases which related to metabolism and the formation of various fats inside the body

the practical side:

·        Examination of kidney functions included Creatinine, Urea, Blood  Urea Nitorgen and Uric Acid

·        Examination for Fats Included Triglycride, Chlesterol, High Denisty Lipoprotein (HDL), Low Denisty Lipoprotein (LDL)

Fourth day, Monday, 24/10/2016 - 15:00 of the 19:00

Theoretically included:

·        Ways to Analyzes liquidity and erythrocyte sedimentation rate and its implications

·        Ways to determine inflammations, rheumatism, and various kinds of implications

·        Ways to Analyzes of different viruses

The practical side:

·        Analysis of Liquidity included Ali PT, PTT, INR

·        Analysis of erythrocyte sedimentation rate ESR

·        Examination for Infections included on the CRP, ASOT

·        Analysis of viruses included HCV-Ab and HBV- Ag

** At the end of the session each group received a series of laboratory reports used in the labs where the recorded results every group to assess this pathological cases
