On Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Nourian Sabry, a second-year student in the English Department, participated in the 4th Egyptian Women’s Summit. She participated under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Nehad Nasr, the representative of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at the Entrepreneurship Club (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit, October 6 University).
Ms. Sabry honourably represented the Faculty of Languages and Translation specifically, and October 6 University generally, presenting a nationwide university project titled: "Heritage & Translation". This took place during the "Top 50 Women Forum" at the Egyptian Women’s Summit, held at Nile University.
The summit aims to empower Egyptian women and enhance their roles in science, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and economic development, contributing to achieving a decent, safe, and sustainable life for women.
The discussion session was attended by a distinguished group of leaders and officials, including:
· H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat: Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
· H.E. Mr. Mohamed Gobran: Minister of Labour.
· H.E. Mr. Ntsiki Mashimbye: Ambassador of South Africa to Egypt.
· Mr. Yves Sassenrath: UNFPA Representative in Egypt.
· Mr. Bassel Rahmy: CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA).
· Prof. Dr. Marianne Azer: Member of the National Council for Women and Member of the Egyptian Parliament.
The panel praised the project for reflecting the active role of young Egyptian women in creating successful initiatives with a distinct, productive Egyptian imprint. The committee emphasized that effective productive projects created by young Egyptian women represent Egypt's future for women's empowerment.
Furthermore, the session highlighted that such pioneering projects led by Egyptian women will be integrated into the Egyptian Parliament's agenda to achieve Egypt Vision 2030. This initiative aims to serve Egypt's renaissance, promote entrepreneurship, and empower Egyptian women to live safe, stable lives free from domestic violence, enabling them to sustain production and participate actively in community development.
