The Drama course featured a specially designed instructional program creatively developed and implemented by Dr. Sherihan Ismail. The program aimed to integrate creativity with practical application and to enhance students’ communicative and life skills, preparing them for both their professional and personal lives. Through innovative teaching strategies, including Creative Drama, Interactive Theatre, and Devised Theatre, the course provided students with a rich learning experience that strengthened their self-confidence, teamwork, self-expression, and ability to apply literary and dramatic knowledge in practice.
In recognition of the success of this educational experience, the Department of English, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Omaima Ghanem, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gehan Anwar, Head of the Department, honored fourth-year students for their outstanding performance in presenting a distinguished theatrical adaptation of Macbeth in Modern English. The performance reflected the students’ artistic, linguistic, and communicative skills.
The ceremony also honored Dr. Sherihan Ismail for her creative design and effective implementation of the Drama course, as well as for directing the performance in a way that successfully combined academic learning with practical artistic experience.
The celebration was attended by a number of Faculty leaders and academic staff, including Prof. Dr. Omaima Ghanem, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Abdel Karim, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Assoc.
