The Chinese Language Department at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, October 6 University, organized the “Chinese Cultural Day” on May 11, 2026, with the aim of promoting Chinese culture and strengthening cultural and educational exchange between Egypt and China. The event witnessed remarkable participation from students and faculty members and featured a variety of cultural and artistic activities, including Chinese songs, a traditional Chinese fashion show, a Chinese-language play, and multimedia presentations that highlighted the richness of Chinese civilization.
The department was also honored to welcome Mr. Lu Chunsheng, Minister Counselor and Educational Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cairo. During the opening ceremony, he delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of Egyptian-Chinese relations and the role of language and culture in enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding between the two peoples. His visit contributed to strengthening academic and cultural ties between both sides and inspired students to continue learning the Chinese language and engaging with different cultures.
